Portrait of Anne the Girl

Between 2015 and 2017, Anne served as representative of all of the Girls until she retired to take a break from fronting more frequently than she was used to. During that time, she had access to almost all of the other girls' memories. She was also instrumental in helping us come out as trans and then also in coming out as plural. She is the wife of Eh, officially married January 20, 2017.

Role in the System

Anne's Art seems to be complex social and emotional intuition. Her network of connections is so broad that she can draw upon the thoughts and input of most of the rest of her side of the system. She does not quite have as wide spread or thorough network as Morde or Phage, but she sits to the furthest left of our consciousness, and when her position is mapped to correspond with contemporary maps of the neocortex she is apparently nestled in near the part of the brain the specializes in intuitive thinking. When she talks she doesn't know what is going to come out of our mouth before she says it, unlike almost everyone else, for instance (though the girls in general do not think vocally or ruminate like the dragons do, she is still more spontaneous than the others). And yet her observations are usually quite astute and detailed.

Earliest Memories

When she is not coconscious with anyone, Anne's earliest memories seem to date to the year before we came out as trans. It seems that she began to emerge while were attempting to sing along with our favorite female singers during our commute alone in our van. She was also instrumental in our coming out and in figuring out that we were also a girl and what it meant to be trans. When we came out to our family she hid out of stage fright and took all those memories with her, leaving Gesedege to stumble and stammer over the whole explanation. Later that night, during a dream Gesedege chided Anne for hiding and told her that it was OK to come forward, and in fact that we needed her to. She replied that she enjoyed being sneaky and liked hiding. This conversation ended up getting channeled through our mouth, and we woke ourselves up talking in voices in our sleep. This was our first undeniable plural experience, though it took us almost two years to come to accept our plurality.

Self Image

Anne relates most strongly to photos of us when we were a young child, as we see that child as a girl. She does however also have a sense of herself as an adult, and the portrait included above is pretty close to how she sees herself.
